The "NO PICNIC" Hotel Parties
At 4711 Con, NYC RHPS redefined the hotel party with the now legendary No Picnic Bar. Now, they are teaming up with RKO to take it the next level! The No Picnic Party is back and bigger than ever, spanning across the entire top floor of the Omni over the weekend, with more than 4,000 square feet to accommodate a historic party of epic proportions. Friday night, the party will be hosted in the RKO Executive Suite in tandem with Tight Crew's Time Warp Dance Party for a choice of places to let loose, with Saturday night‘s mega party extending into the Governor’s Suite, sponsored by NYC RHPS! With professional NYC bartenders, live DJs and entertainment, you can expect an over the top party that you’ll never forget! Access to the No Picnic Party is free to all con attendees.
THIS AND ALL EVENTS ON THE PARTY FLOOR OF THE OMNI ARE STRICTLY 18+. NO CAMERAS/VIDEO. (Official photographer/videographers will selectively document our good times.) Drinking 21+. Open/obvious containers are banned from the hallways of the hotel. Specially designated Con security will be on premises.
This panel will feature prominent costume/wig makers and experts in the knowledge of Rocky Horror costume details and construction. Come learn the extreme details, the little tricks of the trade, how to find bargain buys, and which resources to trust. Questions will be taken from around the room.
This panel will feature successful and tenured prop-masters and Tech Directors, sharing their knowledge about prop-building, tech-management and show execution. Questions will be taken from around the room.
This panel will consist of successful and tenured cast directors/producers sharing their knowledge on how to operate a Rocky Horror shadowcast. This panel will consist of basic leadership ideas to problem solving specific tricky situations. Learn how to tackle all the challenges and make your cast as smooth as can be. Questions will be taken from around the room.
This panel will consist of information on shadowcasting in general including how to start a shadowcast or how to mount a non-Rocky Horror show. Different components of a shadowcast show may be covered including how to approach a theatre, the key positions on cast from host to leads to security/tech and all stops in between. Questions will be taken from around the room.
SOCIAL MEDIA/ADVERTISING PANEL
This panel will consist of information on promoting and advertising for a show, how to grow your following through social media and other avenues. The panel will feature experts who work professionally in the industry and happen to also be passionate Rocky Horror enthusiasts. Questions will be taken from around the room.

Don't worry, we've got some fun new variations for you to strut your stuff! We know times are changing and we've all been broadening our horizons, so we want to host a contest that will reflect that. There will be competitions for the following categories: 1. Best Rocky Horror accurate costume (male) 2. Best Rocky Horror accurate costume (female) 3. Best Rocky Horror creative costume (all gender)4. Best costume Non-Rocky Shadowcast 5. Best Cosplay.
